The Biannual Victor J. Hruby Fellowship in Chemistry
In 1993, alumni students, postdoctoral and research associates of Regent’s Professor Victor J. Hruby established the first fellowship supporting graduate students at The University of Arizona who are engaged in the study of peptide research.
The Victor J. Hruby Fellowship in Peptide Research focuses on supporting interdisciplinary scientific research on peptides, which is a trademark of Professor Hruby’s style and achievements in the area of scientific research and drug discovery.
The fellowship is given to graduate students for outstanding research who have passed their preliminary oral exams, and to postdoctoral fellows doing outstanding research in peptide science. Their performance is evaluated by their seminars, publications and presentations at meetings. Technical skills, creativity and scientific leadership are also considered.
