Study Molecule

Neal Armstrong's New Lab in the Chemical Sciences Building CSB 245

CSB was completed in September of 2006. The facilities are state of art designed to fit the needs of the modern research environment. Laboratories are separated from the offices in order to allow researchers some separation between both lab and office. Laboratories in CSB have a central hallway (LER - Linear Equipment Room) in which all liquid chemicals, waste, extra equipment, and compressed gases are stored.
The labs are equipped with the latest technology in fume hoods along with plenty of space for equipment. CSB also houses three large class 1000 clean rooms which include a series of equipment for surface modifications.

The Lab

The lab space of the NRA group consist of 1/4 of the research space on the second floor. A series of electrochemical characterization equipment along with UV-visible spectrometers, optical setups, and much more is part of the lab. Here are some pictures of the NRA lab space.
