Obtaining an account for chemistry web development
Contact Chemistry Web Coordinator
with your name, SSN, email address. Also list all
chemistry courses, research groups and/or department units where you
will need web developers access. (accounts take 24-48 hours to create).
Chemistry Web pages are to be developed in your personal area and moved
to a system area associated with your class/group/unit when they are tested
and ready to distribute.
When new pages are ready contact the Chemistry
Web Coordinator to have the "system" directory and the link
into one of the main Chemistry web pages created.
Style Issues and Page Content
Sign your pages - develop an address section and add it to the end
of every page you write.
Test your pages - links that don't work and incorrect information are
very frustrating to students (and the rest of us!).
All pages on www.chem.arizona.edu are restricted to include chemistry
department related material. Web pages for individuals (faculty, staff,
student) may be posted, but they are to be restricted to chemistry related
information. (instructional material, research descriptions, vitae....)
