Literature: We should all be familiar with the research of other workers in the field and you should be intimately familiar with the literature surrounding your research topic. The purpose of group meetings this fall is to keep abreast of published work relevant to the group and to get you into the habit of keeping up with the literature. All group members will present, briefly but concisely, all relevant and interesting research articles from the assigned journal in abstract form. The presentation of each article should be extremely brief (use a transparency with the graphical abstracts), but you should be prepared to answer questions with regard to any article you present. All articles you present should be put into your own personal Endnote database of literature, complete with URL to the article on the web, if available.
