  • Research Summary

    Bioorganic Chemistry

    We determine structures of complex bioactive natural products in collaboration with many groups around the world, mainly by NMR methods. Currently several anticancer agents and an antiviral agent are under study. In the synthesis area, we recently completed the first synthesis of an anticancer agent produced by soil bacteria from the Santa Catalina Mountains.
