Research Summary

Teaching Philosophy

Organic chemistry affects all aspects of life and living systems, but also our modern technological society. A basic understanding of the basic principles of this chemistry will aid students to make more informed decisions in their career and life.

The organic chemistry laboratories are designed to illustrate the material covered in lecture to the students, but also to teach them how to work independently in any laboratory environment.

Safety is of the utmost importance in the laboratory, but also in everyday life. The safety class aims to make the students aware of the impact their behavior has on their safety in any circumstance. Personal responsibility and ethics are also discussed in this class.
