Submit your application to the graduate program through the UA Graduate College.

November-February
Applications are reviewed by the admissions committee

February-April

As soon as the the Admissions Committee has finished evaluating applications for the fall semester, the Department may extend an invitation to you to visit the University of Arizona (at our expense) over a weekend during the spring semester. Groups of 20-40 students are invited to visit the department for either of two weekends. For students with schedule incompatibilities, individual visits can always be arranged.

The site visit weekends for 2010 are:

February 11-14, 2010
March 11-14, 2010

You will have ample opportunity to familiarize yourself with potential colleagues and future friends. You will meet faculty, students and staff; view our state-of-the-art facilities; gain first-hand insight into the research being done at the university; and explore beautiful southern Arizona.

April-May

If you are accepted into the graduate program, a formal letter of admission, including details of assistantship offer, will be sent to you by both e-mail and surface mail. You have until April 15 of the current year to accept this offer of admission.This appointment also includes a waiver of out-of-state tuition (approximately $4,490 per semester) if you are a non-resident. Health insurance is provided by the Graduate College.
