Updated Tuesday, June 12, 2012
ALL email.arizona.edu, u.arizona.edu and arizona.edu accounts were migrated over the May 19-20 weekend to the new email and calendaring system
POST MIGRATION INSTRUCTIONS
Beginning May 21st, access to email will only be available through the Outlook Web Application (OWA) using your web browser (Internet Explorer, Thunderbird, Chrome, etc.). Therefore, if you are using Eudora or another third party email client, you will not be able to send and receive email from these clients after Friday, May 18th. This includes smart phones (see smart phone instructions below).
The CBC IT Team is requesting you only complete the following tasks to access your email and calendar using OWA:
- Go to uaconnect.arizona.edu.
- Select the Public or Shared option if you are using a computer that is accessible by a large number of users.
- Select Private if you are accessing OWA (web email) via your personal home or work computer.
- Login to your email account with your UANetID (not full email address) and UANetID password.
- If this is the first time you are using OWA to view your mail, look for an email message confirming that migration to your new account is complete.
- Email Rules will need to be re-created.
- Calendar Delegates and Forwards will need to be re-established. Look for instructions from the CBC IT Team on how to request this.
- Signatures will be migrated, but will need to be reactivated.
For most of the staff, the OWA (web version) of email will be sufficient. For faculty who may have a need to use a different email client, please submit a ticket to IT Support. Please understand that because of the timing of the migration and number of requests for help, it may take some time for us to assist you.
Fully functional email programs you SHOULD use:
- Windows
Outlook 2010
Outlook 2007
- Mac
Outlook 2011
Mac Mail/iCal
Email Clients NOT SUPPORTED:
- Thunderbird
- Entourage EWS 2008
- Eudora
- Pine
- Outlook 2003
The CBC IT team will be available to assist you on Monday with any problems you may have accessing your email. We are located in Old Chemistry, Rooms 323 and 329. You may also contact us by submitting an IT Support Ticket.
