Department of Energy Innovations Award to Stephen Budy

Stephen Budy, a graduate student in Prof. Doug Loy's research group in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, has been awarded a 2011 U.S. Department of Energy Innovations in Fuel Cycle Research Award for his paper, "Sulfonated Polyarylene via Friedel-Crafts Reactions: Synthesis and Characterization."

Funding for this prestegious award is through the Office of Nuclear Energy, Fuel Cycle Technologies. The award is in the category of Universities with Less than $630 Million in 2009 Science and Engineering R&D Expenditures.
