Student Lockers

Financial Responsibility

As a student in any chemistry lab, you will be responsible for a set of equipment in your own locker located in your lab room. At the beginning of the semester you will "check in" to your locker. At that time you will sign a locker card accepting responsibility for everything in the locker and the lock.  Throughout the semester, you will borrow and return equipment from the satellite prep room located adjacent to your lab.

Lecture Demonstrations

This collection of classroom demonstrations is for use with all levels of Chemistry students.

Given 48 hours advanced notice, the Chemistry Preproom will assemble, dispense, and clean up any demonstration available. Demonstrations not listed below may be specifically requested with the appropriate reference materials to Katherine Tilakaratne at: kmyers@chem.arizona.edu.

Five Year B.S./M.S. in Biochemistry

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers the opportunity for Biochemistry students to participate in an accelerated curriculum that leads to both the Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees. This curriculum follows the normal B.S. degree for three years, but adds two graduate level courses during their fourth year that are applied to the subsequent M.S. program. These graduate courses cannot be included in the student's B.S. degree program. The fifth year includes three graduate courses, research credits, and the Masters Thesis.
