New Incoming Freshmen
If you will be a new freshman and interested in visiting the campus as part of Frontiers in Science, a Chemistry and Biochemistry high school recruiting event, please contact Olivia Mendoza. Details about the Frontiers in Science event can be found | here |.
All prospective freshmen must apply to the UA through the | Office of Admissions |. Prior to enrollment, you must attend a mandatory orientation session. During orientation you will meet your major advisor and enroll for classes.
New Transfers into BIOC or CHEM
Are you planning to transfer from a community college or another University? Check out the | Transfer Center | for more information about applying to the University and the procedure once you are admitted.
If you are currently at an Arizona community college please check out our | 2+2 plans | to see what community college courses would best prepare you for our program.
Once you have applied, been accepted, and if necessary taken the Math Placement Test, you will need to schedule an appointment for Orientation. Orientation meetings are most effective if they are done in person. However, if you live outside the Tucson area, we can arrange for a phone or online orientation. All meetings are by appointment only, and you should plan on allotting a full hour to the meeting.
