Hach Scientific Foundation Chemistry Teacher Scholarship

The UA Department of Chemistry is pleased to announce two annual scholarships ($6000 each) available to undergraduate chemistry students who are pursuing careers as chemistry teachers! Applications are accepted year round, until August 15th each year. Click here for more information.

UA Noyce Scholars Program

The UA Noyce Scholars Program is a loan forgiveness program for science and mathematics majors who wish to prepare themselves for teaching in high-need high schools and middle schools. The program is supported by the National Science Foundation. You may be eligible to apply for $7500/year that will be forgiven from repayment if, after graduating form the UA College of Science Teaching Program, you teach in a high need school. American Chemical Society (ACS) Scholars Program

Scholars program designed to be a CATALYST for African American, Hispanic/Latino and American Indian students seeking to pursue undergraduate college degrees in chemical sciences and chemical technology.

Galileo Circle Scholarship

These College of Science scholarships are funded by the generous contributions of the members of the Galileo Circle; $1000 each. Students are Department-nominated only - no self nomination please. Full-time, research-active chemistry majors with a 3.2 minimum GPA are invited to apply; recipients are selected by Department Heads.

Helen S. Schaefer Scholarship: for a woman in science or mathematics

All candidates for this scholarship are required to be female students in good standing entering their sophomore, junior or senior years of study at the University of Arizona with a  major in Science or Mathematics and have a grade point average of 3.5 or better. Deadline is March 23rd, 2007.

IOTA SIGMA PI Undergraduate Award for Excellence in Chemistry

The nominee shall be a senior woman chemistry student in an accredited college or university that grants a four year degree. The nominee may be, but need not be, a member of Iota Sigma Pi. The nomination dossier must contain:

United States Achievement Academy

National Collegiate Physical Sciences Award: 4-$10,000 and 250-$1500 cash grant awards given per year. Must be nominated based on the following USAA Official Standards for Selection:

Students who are recognized by state or local officials such as all state, all region etc. are eligible for membership in the Academy's exclusive program. Nominations must be made by Feb 15th.
